PAINT IT: NUBAR NAIL LACQUER

This season we're mainly painting our nails black with the "Think Ink" collection from Nubar Nail Lacquer. The nail varnishes are hard wearing and don't chip or crack under pressure. Black Chrome is our personal favourite it has blue undertones to create the Gothic effect which is oh so now.

Priced from £8 a bottle they aren't bad value either.

BEYOND RETRO OPENS IN DALSTON.....

If you follow us on twitter you'll know that we were the first ones to break the news of Beyond Retro's plans to come to Stoke Newington. Well the shop has now opened and we can confirm it's pretty huge, taking over Simpson House of Stoke Newington Road the 10,000 square foot store will become a reason in itself to visit the area. Or if like us you live nearby a reason to go shopping more!

This is the eighth addition to the Beyond Retro legacy and the prices seemed slightly cheaper than their other outlets. We picked up 3 t-shirts for £36, a romper suit for £16 and a electric pink leather for just £60. But all this bargain hunting can be thirst work, so we'd recommend checking out the in store cafe even if it's just to people watch, expect to see a whole host of Fashion"East"ers.

MODEL CO FIBRE LASH....

Fuller, thicker lashes spell SEX which is why we'll try any new wonder product once. Model Co Fibre Lash Mascara promises to give your lashes the fuller effect without the need for falsies. No glue, no mess and no coming unstuck halfway through the night - we were sold.

Even with the £35 price tag we'd still recommend this product, just think of the money you save on falsies! The kits contains two tubes; one of mascara and one of fibre which clings to your lashes to add volume and length. And it works, it really works. The only thing we found was the product got cloggy quite fast but apart from that the results spoke for themselves.

Available from boots.com. Get it whilst it's hot!

SHOREDITCH UNBOUND...

‘Shoreditch Unbound' is a new book which pays homage to the areas creative roots by giving the owners chance to create their own content. The limited edition book, only available throughout September creates a permanent snapshot of the eclectic mix of art, fashion, design, location and lifestyle of London’s Shoreditch.

Shoreditch Unbound is a view of Shoreditch through the eyes of the artists, visitors and residents who occupy the area, brought together by Steven Moffett and Steven Dray. It is an informed look at the way in which the area has evolved through the 20th and 21st centuries to become the creative hub it is today.

The book is an original concept; those who own a limited edition copy will be able to personalise it with additional content available from the Shoreditch Unbound website, as well as from Shoreditch Unbound Festival venues. The ultimate coffee table book for the trendy Shoreditch hipster - see that book? We made it!
